The Jabalpur Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research is unique Nursing Institute, established in year 2001 by its mother organization; “Hitkarini Sabha”. The college is recognized by State Nursing Council, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal as well as Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and affiliated to Rani Durgavati Vishwavidhyalaya, Jabalpur (M.P.) and State Medical University Jabalpur. The Institute is running B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) 4 year’s course and M.Sc. Nursing two years’ full time course in four deferent specialities. Medical Surgical Nursing – 4, Obs and Gynecology-3, i Paedicatric Nursing -4, Psychiatric Nursing -4.
It is situated in the heart of Jabalpur city. College is 11/2 K.M. from Railway Station & 3 K.M. from the University. Jabalpur is known as Sanshakardhani and is famous for river Narmada, the lifeline of the State and the tourist hub of Bhedaghat.
The College has excellent infrastructure with a hard working & versatile Principal and a team of dedicated faculty. The college had gained its academic excellence and all around personality development of the students. Every year, student of this college are placed University top positions in academic as well as co-curricular activities.
Nursing is essentially a profession of dedication, love for humanity, faith and courage. To be successful in this profession, one should have certain qualities, viz. sound physical health, courage, honesty emotional maturity and above all, compassion to serve. However, these qualities and many more can be developed and nurtured during training. While the foundation of modern healthcare in india was laid during the period of colonial rule, its rapid development took place only after independence .right from early fifties, india’s five year plans focused on two key areas of health sector; medical manpower and pharmaceutical production. india’s healthcare ,both in public and privet sector ,however remained elitist and the vast majority of the country’s population did not have adequate access to good quality healthcare ,specially the 70% population that lives in the villages. The growing complexity of scientific and technological advancement in the country has vastly changed the trends of health concepts and illness pattern. keeping in mind the growing demand of health and para medical health personnel’s ; both at national and international level in the time to come, Hitkarini Sabha , a leading educational conglomerate of mahakoshal region seized the opportunity and established the ‘jabalpur institute of nursing sciences and research ‘in the year 2001 under its auspices. it was intended to fulfill a long felt void in the field of highly professional and employment oriented education in various aspects of nursing sciences and research .the programme of education offered by the institute is built upon a recognizes curriculum of indian nursing council ,the supreme body in nursing education . The institution is committed to produce world class nursing professionals by providing world class nursing education through highly qualified faculty and infrastructural support of Hitkarini Sabha.

• Prepare students to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives, in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.
• Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor, and manager in a clinical/ public health setting.
