Child Health Nursing Department

Department of pediatric nursing is one of the departments of faculty of nursing which study the care of neonates, children and adolescent in both the programmes of graduate and post graduate nursing students based on the Indian Nursing Council curriculum.

The department actively participates in training the students to render service for the sick neonate’s children and do research in the field of child health nursing. Our well established laboratory is equipped with models, mannequins, instruments and audio-visual aids to facilitate the teaching-learning process.

Our Vision: To train nursing students to provide high technology nursing care to the neonates, children and adolescents, developing students with full-fledged knowledge, skill, and attitude in nursing education, administration, and research through unified leadership.

The mission of the pediatric nursing department is to articulate nursing students to develop in-depth knowledge, skill and right attitude to function as neonatal and pediatric nurses to provide holistic nursing care to the sick and critically ill children.

We prepare students to conduct nursing research and encourage them to become competent nurse educators and administrators globally. The department also conducts various programs merged with government services, such as celebrating Breastfeeding Week and Neonatal Week at the community level.
